Pink palace

May 9, 2018

It’s not everyone’s idea of heaven, but to live in a hotel sounds like a angels singing in my ears. If there’s a hotel that I would choose as my permanent address, it would be the Sujan Rajmahal Palace in Jaipur. It was built in 1729 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II as a getaway for his wife. Both the Queen of England and Jackie Kennedy have been guests. More recently it’s been through a major redesign with interior designer, Adil Ahmad at the helm. Anyone who knows me just a little bit will see why the decor makes my hearts swoon. Pink chaises, whimsical fabrics and chandeliers befitting a palace. Take a look around. I’ll send you a postcard when I get there.
